The Client and Project
Olympic Veterinary Cardiology is a specialized veterinary practice committed to cardiac care for animals. They partnered with Norris Design to develop a clear, compelling design system for marketing and educational materials. The goal was to boost credibility, reinforce expertise, and increase recognition among both clients and referring veterinarians.
The Challenge
Olympic Veterinary Cardiology needed to present highly technical, compassionate care in a way that was:
Visually consistent across educational handouts, sales packets, mailers, signage, social slides, and event graphics
Trustworthy and professional, yet warm and approachable
Easy for clients and partners to recognize and engage with
Our Role
As their ongoing design partner, Norris Design provides a strategic, full-service approach to bring cohesion and quality to their collateral. Our work includes:
Designing patient-facing materials to explain cardiac conditions clearly
Developing print-ready sales packets and mailers for referral outreach
Creating slide decks, signage, and event graphics for seminars and conferences
Delivering marketing materials aligned with their brand voice and mission
Our Process
1. Discovery & Brand Audit
We began with a discovery session to align on goals, audience needs, and visual tone. Then, we audited existing materials to identify gaps in consistency and messaging.
2. Strategic Design System
We established brand guidelines for typography, color palette, layout, and iconography. The design direction reinforced professionalism and trust while maintaining a sense of care and empathy.
3. Collateral Production
We created a range of materials, including:
Educational handouts to simplify complex cardiac topics
Sales packets and mailers for outreach to referring veterinarians and pet owners
Event branding, such as seminar slide decks, booth graphics, and signage
4. Iteration & Consistency
Each stage included client feedback to refine the work. We ensured all pieces shared a cohesive and consistent visual identity.

Improved Brand Perception: The cohesive design system elevated the clinic’s image and made materials immediately recognizable.
